Museunm of natural history 2008

The things I saw at the museum was a lot of exhibits about animals like: polo bears, raccoons, and dinosaur’s. I've been to the museum 3 years in a row 5th grade 6th grade and 7th grade so I know my way around the place. My favorite part of the museum is the big bang why? Because it's the most interesting part of the museum. Also there was a lot of high school and elemtary students but they had to stay together as a group. Unlike us we had the chance to spread apart and explore the museum ourselves. The connection between the museum and the film is that they both talk about the environment (global warming) and how us humans are destroying it. The one that is more believable is the film why? Because it shows you graphics and documents. My observation between the film, museum, the reading and the theme of the cluster: Truth, Lies and Videotape are that they are apart of the media. The media has a lot of tricks up their sleeve so you have to be the one to figure out the real deal. Well nature is transformed into media by being exposed that is basically it. Most things you see in general is lie a trap why? Because they use siblimal messages to get your attention. We see that all the time and it's very sad and many journalists risk their lives trying to seek the truth about a lot of things in our world.

Gnosticism/religious freedom/history

Gnosticism is basically about greek and religious information that people in the 19 century believed in. It united in the teachings of the divine soul of humans as so it says on wikipedia. I'm not to big on religion but it is very international and meaningful to a lot of people. This relates to the matrix because it deals with sprituality and philosophy. It was so popular that it was turned into a school so children can pratice it and become good at it. In the matrix had a lot of life and death situtions that neo had to choose. So Gnosticism has a whole lot of information that people can look up if you are feeling down about yourself and you need spirtuality.

The allegory of the cave

The article talks about prisoners chainged inside a cave since they were children that is a really messed up sitution. There was a fire behind the prisoners and after that they raised a walkway and saw animals going through it. The whole article is basically abourt people living through terrible conditions and making it fun by doing activites. If i was to be stuck in a cave for all my life I would be going insane.

The new life of humans

The Matrix was realeased in the year 1999 when technology was starting to change for the better. Millions of people went to the movie theater and sat through the whole 136 minutes. Many people knew the movie will be a cult classic others thought the movie was crappy and confussing. People have the right to their own opinion why? because we are not robots nobody can't control the way we think and speak. The Matrix started out by a woman called Trinity trying to escape the angents because they were going to kill her. A truck was trying to run her over while she was inside a telephone booth all you see next was her hand on the glass and the truck stoped in it's tracks. That sence caught my eye because it was very visual and the moves that Trinity did was amazing. But yet again I'm not surprised because she has that kind of power. Thomas Anderson was living two lives by day he works for a software company and by night he is a professional hacker using the alias Neo. His whole life changed as he was chosen to be "the one"by Morphis. The angents were trying to capture Neo so he can help them and be apart of their world. He tries to get away from them unfortunally, he got caught in the process. The one sence that made my stomach turn was when the agents were putting the bug inside his belly button. Later on in the flim Neo and Morphis were having a conversation and explaing to the young man why he was chosen to be "the one". The meaning of the matrix is a computer generated world that is controlled and tries to change human beings in a negative way. When you put it like that it sounds disturbing and unusal. Morphis gave him a choice of taking the blue pill or the red pill Neo had to make the right decision and took the red pill. The blue pill means eveything will back to normal like nothing never happened and believe whatever you want to believe. The red pill is about learning how the world sucks and trying to save it. When you think about it. It's like making a really hard decision that would chance your life forever. They are now in the future which is the 21 century. Morphis is showing Neo how the world really is and it's not a fantasy land it's dark and cruel. That part of the flim also caught my eye because that is true the world is not always the best but the media makes it seem like we live in a lovely place and that is not the truth. The traning starts by installing it inside of Neo's body and there was a fighting sence with Morphis not surprisingly Neo lost. The whole traning process was in the mind of the indivual insted of going though actual psyical traning. The angents remind me of the devils that are in this world because they are always trying to destroy people lives. All of a sudden Morphis was caught by the agents Neo and Trinity were trying to save him. The machine gun that was used for that sence was very powerful I like movies that involve action so that kept me wide awake. The sence that caught everybody's attention was when Neo was dogging bulits their mouths drop at that point. Many people try to copy that but they weren't as sucessful. Since Trinity is gone Neo had to fight the agents on his own in a subway station. At that point Neo realizes that he is "the one". The agents shot Neo dead but Trinity is not going to let that happen to so she trys to talk to him. All of a sudden she kisses him and his heart began beating again that must mean he deserve to stay on earth. Now neo is back back into the regular world knowing that he is "the one". In my opinion that flim is very hi-tech and till this day it is one of the best movie that anybody can see there is nothing stupid or cheep about it.
